While she covered her face the next time he saw her,
He recognised her instantly
~
It was never her face he couldn’t stop looking at
It was the radiance around her:
The way she spoke
The way she laughed
The way she looked at him when he spoke
~
She could cover her whole body, if she wished, and he would still recognise her from afar
~
It’s the way she carries herself
Knowing that God resides in her
~
The years may age her skin
The age may soften her look
But that loving look in her eyes never disappeared
And while she refrained from lifting her head up
~
He saw her smile
