I got lost in the forest

In the waves of trees

The trees of life

Overpowering the light

 

They thought light is where life exists

Warmth is how we survive

But there was no trace of sunlight

In the darkness that is the forest

 

I tried to feel and get a hold of my surrounding

Learnt to see like a cat

And felt the warmth of my heart burning

While my body was about to freeze

 

Becoming one with the forest

Cold, majestic, and intimidating

Only by becoming larger and taller

Will we touch the sunlight again

 

But when we think we are engulfed

That’s when we find the way out

So I stand in front of the exit

Looking back one more time

 

Everything looks more romantic

In the instant of saying goodbye

 

I had found myself in the forest

 

Where you lost me, infinitely
